Summer Haze: Queenstown’s Hazy Beer Festival

Back for its second annual pour, Queenstown’s juiciest summer beer fest returns to The Cargo Collective.

Summer Haze 2026 is all about sunshine, good times, and the finest hazy brews from across Aotearoa — bigger, hazier, and even better than last year.

We’ll be slowly unveiling our epic brewery lineup, each one bringing the juice and raising the bar.

Here’s what’s on tap:

  • 8 standout NZ hazies, including a special-release Cargo Hazy brewed just for the occasion

  • Live music throughout the day

  • Lawn games for friendly competition and laid-back summer fun

  • Delicious food available on site to keep you fuelled between pours

Your $15 entry includes your first beer — after that, you’re free to chase the haze.

Little legs can roam the garden while the big kids handle the hazy business.

Miss it and you’ll be hearing about it all summer. Grab your ticket early and come get hazy with us.

Teacher Comedy Night with Daniel Delby

Teacher Comedy Night with Daniel Delby

We’re excited to welcome Daniel Delby’s iconic Teacher Comedy Night to The Cargo Collective — a show born from the hilarious chaos of his years as a high school teacher. Since then, Delby’s taken the stage at the Perth Comedy Festival Gala, won the Best Weekly Comedy FRINGE WORLD Award, and earned multiple 5-star reviews praising his sharp punchlines and elite improv skills.

Each show kicks off with Delby as MC, weaving stand-up, classroom stories, and plenty of audience interaction. Expect funny “work samples,” games, mock news segments, and a fresh twist added every year — often joined by a guest comedian.

No two shows are ever the same, making it the kind of night you’ll want to experience more than once. It’s interactive, accessible, and guaranteed to deliver the laughs…
Just don’t bring any Karens or Garys.

American Stand-Up Comedians Invade Otago

We’re buzzing to host a night of stand-up that’s loud, messy, and absolutely hilarious. Otago, the Americans are coming—and we’re letting them loose on our stage.

Lineup:

MC: CJ Pierson – Tall, lanky, effortlessly funny, turning everyday chaos into laughs.

Ryan Smagalski – Like a strong cup of American coffee with a side of strong opinions.

Kathy Wilson – Brutal, brilliant, and possibly banned in a few states.

Headliner: Jimmy Pete – A raw comedy beast who doesn’t hold back.

Special Guests: American visitor plus Otago’s very own Molly Force

Calling all locals!
We love our community and want to give locals a chance to grab the mic. Got jokes? Email hello@thecargocollective.co.nz and we’ll add you to the Open Mic lineup before the show at 6PM.

This is one takeover you don’t want to miss—get your tickets before they sell out.

It’s messy, it’s funny, it’s unmissable. Grab your tickets, bring your mates, and see what happens when a bunch of Americans meets Queenstown.
